Title: Summer Camp Arts Intern
Term: Volunteer position
Mandatory Staff Orientation & Training on June 24 & 25, 9 AM to 4 PM;
Monday – Friday June 28– July 23, 10 AM – 3 PM for Summer Arts Camps
Optional: Monday – Friday July 26 – August 6, 10 AM – 3 PM for Broadway Camp

Qualifications: Minimum one year of college as an Art or Art Education major; experience working or volunteering with children ages 5-14yrs.
Job Summary: The Summer Arts Intern is supervised by the Director of Education & Public Programs and works directly with the Yellow Springs Camp Art Specialists and other summer camp staff to provide assistance with the daily art project times and general camp experience with campers ages 5-14 yrs.
Specific Duties include:
Assist our Art Specialists with the campers each week in a wide variety of art experiences children & youth ages 5 – 14; primary responsibility with campers 7 - 10 yrs.
Assist with the prep, set up and clean up of all art activities and projects each camp day.
Be an exemplary role model in behavior and language with all campers. Display a professional attitude and behavior with all Summer Camp and HYS staff.
Be willing and available during the camp day to ‘step-in’ and assist other camp staff as needed or that situations may demand on a day by day basis.
