Volunteer of the Year
Each year, the Board of Directors recognizes one of our volunteers for exemplary dedication and contributions of time and energy to Historic Yellow Springs. The 2007 volunteer of the Year is John Shaw. John has been an omnipresent volunteer for HYS’ since 2001. No matter what job for which he volunteers, John does it reliably and with an upbeat pleasure. In the case of tour guiding, he makes the visitors have a wonderful time and they are treated to a very thorough litany of information. His humor, passion, and obvious enjoyment are shared with those around him. He has done extensive research on various details of our history just to be able to answer questions and put more gusto into his tours.
Historic Yellow Springs, Inc. relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations for its preservation and education programs. For more information about how you can help HYS meet its financial needs, call (610) 827-7414 or make an online donation via PayPal.
