Every year the arrival of Spring always seems to bring a feeling of newness and optimism, but never more so than this year! We could not be more excited to bring you the 48th annual Yellow Springs Art Show. The Lincoln Building will once again be open to showcase the amazing works of 185 artists and the Village will be ready to bloom!
The show opens at 10 AM on Saturday, April 24! The Lincoln building gallery hours are 10 AM – 4 PM daily, and the show closes on Sunday, May 23 at 4 PM. This year’s show has been extended from two weeks to four weeks to reduce crowding and allow patrons to social distance. We are also taking extra steps, including six UV air filtering machines located throughout the galleries, and having the building cleaned daily.
We require that all patrons who visit any of the village indoor locations to wear a mask and to follow all HYS safety protocols. Admission is free to the public and you do not need a reservation, but only 75 people are permitted inside at this time. If there should be a wait time, we will have a sign-up list at the door. If you are not able to come see the show in person, you can shop online! The website will go live at 10 AM on Saturday, April 24!
Sadly, we will not be holding our Opening Gala or Happy Hour events this year, but look forward to hosting them again in future years.
We are excited to announce a new outdoor event, Art Around the Village, on Sunday, May 2nd from 10 AM – 2 PM. A fun-filled day to explore the Village of Yellow Springs! We will have artists from the show giving demonstrations, and plein air painting located around the grounds. Live music in the courtyard with Chris Lebresco, and a pottery sale from the Chester Springs Studio! Boxed lunches will also be available in the village by pre-order reservations at the new Life’s Patina Co. Mercantile & Café.
