“I Like Porcelain Because Blood Shows Up Better On It”, was the title of an article on porcelain by Sandy Simon. The title suggests that porcelain is a daunting material. Not so! While porcelain is a beautiful clay which provides a luscious white background for color, it is not particularly demanding if you learn to work with it.
This class is for students who have had some experience making pots and who would like to learn to handle this soft and sensuous clay. We’ll be decorating with color, carving on porcelain, and taking advantage of the characteristics of porcelain that makes it so appealing.
