The 50th Annual Yellow Springs Art Show opens to the public on Saturday, April 29 at 10 am. The galleries in the Lincoln building will be open daily from 10 am - 4 pm through Sunday, May 14. With 227 artists, the juried show has some of the most impressive works of art exhibited in the area. Over 4,000 works of original art are showcased including 2-D and 3-D works with a wide range of media and pricing.
Admission is free to the public, and reservations are not required. Artwork is on display in all the first and second floor galleries, and our well-known “minis” will again be found in their 2nd floor mini’s gallery. Artists’ portfolio pieces of unframed originals and prints will also be on both floors. You can also visit the show online, the virtual gallery opens at 10 am on Saturday, April 29.
Monique Sarkessian is the winner of this year’s annual poster competition, and her work, Where Your Glory Dwells 149, is featured on this year’s catalog, postcards, billboards, invitation and flyers. The colorful alcohol ink painting depicts the vibrant azaleas in the courtyard and gardens of The Washington Building at HYS. The original poster painting will be sold by silent auction in The Lincoln Building galleries. The silent auction will run from 10 am, Saturday, April 29 through Sunday, April 30 ending at 4 pm.
Join us for an exclusive event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Yellow Springs Art Show. Attire for this evening is "denim to diamonds" - come as you please!
This evening of art, music, fine food and celebration will be held on Friday, April 28th, beginning at 5:00 pm. Valet parking will be available. Be among the first to view the wonderful offerings of 227 juried artists. Original artwork will grace the Lincoln Building galleries, and drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served until 7:00 pm, the party will then move into The Washington for more festivities, including a wonderful sit down dinner, live music and a small live auction to benefit Historic Yellow Springs. There will be more time to peruse the galleries after dessert!

The galleries in the Lincoln building will open at 4 pm for browsing the 50th Annual Yellow Springs Art Show. At 5 pm, guests can begin to make their way to The Washington for hors d'oeuvres, drinks and the Fashion Show will begin at 5:30 pm.
Art and fashions will be available for sale. 10% of the proceeds of all fashion sales benefits HYS. This is a ticketed event and attendance is limited.
Join us after work on Friday, May 5 from 5 – 8 pm for the Yellow Springs Art Show Happy Hour.
Enjoy an evening of art and charcuterie with a cash bar from the Cedar Hollow Inn Restaurant and Bar.
Admission is $5 at the door, free for HYS members.
On Sunday, May 14, we invite you to come to the village, view the show and enjoy the beauty that brought the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts to the village with its Country School. And be sure to bring your mother to share in this special day of ART AROUND THE VILLAGE.
Members of our 2023 Yellow Springs Art Show artists will be once again painting en plein air in our meadows and pathways around the village. They are always happy to share their creativity with you.
We encourage you to bring picnics and spend time enjoying the beauty of the village in spring. Spread your blankets, relax, and enjoy the music of Chris Lebresco who is returning to the Lincoln Building porch to entertain you.
The Chester Springs Studio has planned several activities to extend your artistic experience here at Yellow Springs. Matt Wren, Ceramic Studio Supervisor, will be doing clay throwing demonstrations.
For those wishing to learn more about our history, HISTORY WALKS are planned at 11 am and 1 pm. Look for signs where these walks will begin and learn about our long and interesting history.
After gathering inspiration in the galleries, the kids can paint a garden rock for Mom! Enjoy a game of giant jenga or connect four in the grass while the paint dries. Thank you to Sweetwater 100 for donating the river rocks!
